Research & Development

The Ferro process

Built Through Testing,
Not Marketing

At Ferro Golf, research and development starts with a simple question:

Does it actually make the golf club perform better?

A complete process

Our process combines club fitting, professional instruction, certified club building, launch-monitor testing and real-world player feedback.

We evaluate equipment through measurable performance, repeatable results and what happens when the club is actually put in a golfer’s hands.

What We Measure

Performance is the
complete picture.

We look at the complete performance picture, including:

  • Ball speed
  • Launch angle
  • Spin rate
  • Carry distance
  • Peak height
  • Descent angle
  • Dispersion
  • Strike consistency
  • Turf interaction
  • Feel

The goal is not to chase one impressive number.

The goal is predictable, repeatable performance.

How We Test

Measure. Adjust.
Retest.

Our process is straightforward:

Every Ferro iron is evaluated as part of a complete golf club.

Head design, shaft, length, loft, lie angle, swing weight and grip all influence performance. That is why fitting and club building are part of our development process from the beginning.

Design evolution

Two profiles.
One philosophy.

Forged for Performance

Material matters.

Ferro irons are forged from S20C carbon steel, selected for its feel, responsiveness and clean shaping.

Our MC and CB designs offer different performance characteristics while maintaining a consistent Ferro design philosophy, and can be combined into blended sets based on the needs of the player.

Development Never Stops

We test. We measure.
We compare. We refine.

R&D at Ferro is an ongoing process.

As we continue testing new designs, components and configurations, we will share more of that development here — including performance data, testing results, prototypes and the decisions behind future Ferro products.

If a change produces a meaningful improvement, it moves forward.

If it doesn’t, it doesn’t.
