The Ferro project has reached another real milestone: our first complete set of irons has been assembled in Hawaii. The heads arrived as individual components. Our job was to inspect, measure and turn them into a finished set—one club at a time.
From components to a complete set
The build begins before any epoxy is mixed. Each head is removed from its protective packaging, inspected and weighed. The selected shafts, ferrules and grips are then prepared around the intended specifications for the set.
This video follows that first Ferro set through the workshop—from the incoming heads to shaft preparation, assembly, gripping and the finished clubs.
The build is part of the product
A custom set is more than a group of heads with shafts installed. Head weights and component choices affect finished length, total weight and swing weight. Alignment, ferrule finishing, grip installation and final specification checks determine whether the completed set matches the intended build.
That is why Ferro sets are assembled around the golfer’s selected model, shaft, flex, grip, loft, lie, length and target swing weight rather than pulled from a warehouse in a standard configuration.
Check each head and component before assembly begins.
Record the specifications that determine how the finished set is built.
Recheck the completed clubs before they move to player testing.
What comes next
Completing the first set validates the physical build sequence, but it is not the end of development. Finished clubs move next to player testing and TrackMan measurement so the build can be evaluated through ball flight, strike feedback and consistency.
We will continue documenting that process as additional MC and CB sets are assembled and tested with different shaft and specification combinations.
